They were able to accommodate us with early check-in. I think if we had more than that it would be a bit tight. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the space was enough for 2 adults. It has a small porch in the front and an area on the side with a firepit in front of the parking space. It is just as advertised, a small individual house with a nice bedroom, bathroom, and living area with a kitchenette. We stayed in the "tiny house" at Fireside Resort. Also, you need to push a button in the bus stop shelter to go either northbound (to mtn) or southbound (to town) so that the bus will know to stop there. Also, the bus fares were confusing, but it is $1 cash each way from Calico to Jackson Hole Mtn. Much better than going out on the main road. TIPS FOR SKIERS: We found an excellent walking shortcut to the Calico bus stop by cutting through the neighborhood just to the south of Fireside resort (Hawthorne Ln. It's just a short walk to the bus stop in front of Calico Restaurant and Bar. It's perfectly halfway between the town of Jackson and Jackson Hole mountain. We absolutely would love to stay here again. We also made use of the hot tub and laundry facilities, which was so convenient given we were here the latter part of a week-long trip – we planned ahead and were able to pack less had we not been able to do laundry. Since it was winter, we didn't spend too much time outside, but how cool to have a nice place to sit and your own personal outdoor fire pit! Parking is super easy and it's great to have a deck and picnic table for loading/unloading.

And all the windows and ability to let so much light in was wonderful.
#Fireside resort full
Having a full living room, fireplace, bathroom and bedroom (with a super cozy bed) and a mostly full kitchen was just fantastic. The cabins are amazing and so roomy on the inside, even though they look small on the outside. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The cabins just looked so cute, cozy and welcoming from the photos and, to top it off, offered a 20% discount to Ikon Pass holders! We also liked the fact that the cabins didn't share walls, so we wouldn't have to worry about hearing neighbors like you would in a normal hotel situation. After quite a bit of searching, we decided to book at Fireside Resort. The rates are very high, but in line with the regional market rates. If you don't mind driving to whatever you came to the area to visit, these cabins provide a nice base camp. The resort identifies itself as pet-friendly. Bathrooms have nice linens and toiletries. Each cabin has reliable, speedy wireless internet and also cable TV. They incorporate nice sound insulation as well, so that they remain quiet all night even though the cabins sit close to each other. They are well-insulated, so they retain the cool of the morning hours all day. We found the cabins to be quite functional and more than adequate for our needs. Each cabin also gets an outdoor fire pit, and the resort provides a "starter" set of firewood. Overall, the interior is nat much larger than a typical hotel room, but it is organized artfully to make maximum use of the small area.

There is no dining area in the cabin, although there is a small elevated front porch with a picnic table and small propane grill. The bedroom can be closed off from the rest of the cabin with a sliding door. The cabins are small, with a front room that combines a living room and a kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower (but no tub) and a bedroom with a king-sized bed.

There is a nearby stop for the regional free bus system. The nearest true supermarket is about five miles away. The closest grocery, a small high-end place, is about 3/4 mile away. Except for one restaurant that is a block away, there are no nearby restaurants or shops within walking distance. There is a nice bike trail across from the resort that goes up to Teton Village and that also connects with Jackson about seven miles away. It's about a five-minute drive to either one. The resort is located in between Wilson and Teton Village, the latter being the cluster of condos and hotels at the base of the Jackson Hole ski resort. Its only real "resort" amenity is an outdoor hut tub, but the place does not represent itself to be anything more elaborate, so that did not surprise or disappoint us. The resort consists of a group of these cabins at the front of the property and conventional RV spots at the back. We stayed in one of the "wedge cabins" for four nights.
